One of the Best Series ever

         I've been binge watching this series since April,2021 and till now I'm still crazily obsessed with it though I haven't finished the whole nine seasons yet. There are many reasons that make me literally inseparable with this series so I felt so bad when I heard that Netflix's going to recall this series on 12/31, 2021. That means from next year, " How I met Your Mother" would be no longer available on Netflix! Now I've already reached the 6th season, so I'm gonna finish the rest 3 seasons by 12/31. I'm sure I can do that! :)

         First reason that I keep watching it is that watching American series is really useful for practicing either listening or speaking skills. For drilling my English proficiency, I find it  extremely helpful to immerse myself into English-speaking environment. Although 100% English-speaking environment is not possible, but at least I can have at least 3 hours a day that I am fully engrossed in this series where the characters all speak English. Here is the " Itinerary" that I specially customized for myself and it'd be like :  Wake up at 7 o'clock and cheerfully leaping out of my bed. Spread my favorite strawberry jam on two slices of toast and a cup of milk should be good for my drink. Open up my lap top and start a wonderful day by watching " How I Met Your Mother" along with my breakfast. By 9:30 I should turn off my lap top and get myself prepared to go to class. After class, open up lap top watching the series greeting the end of a day. So technically I do spend a great deal of time for series, LOL.

         This series really create a plot that contains just the right amount of every element that makes it fascinating, and it's the second reason I love it. There are five main characters in the series. The story mainly focus on their life before getting married one by one: a number of great time they had had with each other, those thrilling but somehow dumb things they had done with each other and all those parts when they got to realize how valuable and indispensable there relationship was to each other. How I Met Your Mother really creates a plot that is close to real life and it gives me a possible picture of how my life can be like after college. Whenever I watch it, I'm always hoping to have a few intimate friends to spend time with after college just like the characters in the series do.

         Even through I'm still roaming around in terms of making friends, or relationship, I do obtain some vicarious feelings of all the happiness and sadness in the series. All those lingering feelings in my mind makes me contemplate upon life. I've learned from this series, an important lesson that someday things will change and I have to grow with that change instead of holding onto what is familiar to me. I only need to be a caring person with a loving heart and an emotional endurance to look at everything in the eye and still smile; someday a set of good friends and a wonderful wondering life will show up to me.
